While I detest most of Florida, this beach in Pensecola/off the gulf of mexico is one of my favorite places. We scattered the ashes of my grandmother, grandfather, and my aunt whom all passed away recently. They said it was their favorite place in the world. Their favorite animal were stingrays. We spent all weekend trying to see some in the gulf but never saw any. Three full grown rays swam by about 5 seconds after we poured the ashes into the gulf. It's pretty cheesy, but it's kind of peculiar in a way.
